Masking Tape

Masking tape is a multi-purpose adhesive that is easy to tear and applicable for a variety of requirements. Masking tape is typically crepe paper backing with a natural rubber adhesive that provides a weaker bond. Since masking tape does provide a weaker bond, it is easily removed and leaves behind no residue or damage on the substrate. Aside from the typical tan hue, colored masking tape is also available.

Masking tape comes in a range of bond strengths for various purposes. However, the most common form of masking tape is general household masking tape, featuring the lowest grade adhesive. Though masking tape can be used for nearly anything, from hanging paper to bundling objects, it is most commonly used in painting applications to prevent paint from seeping or bleeding under the tape. Masking tape is an economical and easy-to-use adhesive suitable for numerous applications.
